Job Summary
As an Irrigation Laborer with LandTec Services, you will install, program, and repair irrigation systems on landscape projects. You will work from irrigation plans as part of a field crew under the direction of the General Superintendent and crew leaders.
Success means irrigation systems installed to plan and code, working properly at handoff, and completed safely and on schedule.
What You Will Do
• Read irrigation plans and scale projects.
• Install mainline, laterals, and sleeving.
• Clean out trenches for irrigation.
• Install rotors, sprays, and bubblers.
• Install drip line for shrub beds.
• Install valves for sprinkler systems and drip zones.
• Install backflow prevention assemblies.
• Install two-wire and conventional wiring, including grounding components.
• Install and program irrigation controllers with weather sensors.
• Flush, troubleshoot, and repair irrigation systems.
• Operate equipment such as trenchers, Dingos, and mini excavators.
• Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
What You Will Have
• 2+ years of irrigation installation experience.
• Ability to read and interpret irrigation plans.
• Experience operating trenchers, compact loaders, and mini excavators.
• Ability to communicate in English or Spanish.
• Availability to work Saturdays when needed.
What Would Make You a Top Candidate
• TCEQ Irrigation Installer license.
Physical and Working Conditions
• Outdoor work in Texas heat, cold, and rain.
• Frequent digging, bending, and kneeling.
• Ability to lift 25–50 lbs regularly.
• Operation of heavy equipment.
• Ability to wear required PPE and safely move through active work areas.

Additional Information
• This is a full-time, non-exempt position eligible for overtime.
• Starting pay is $20–$22 per hour. Actual compensation will be based on relevant experience, qualifications, certifications, and business needs.
• This role follows a Monday–Friday, 6:30 a.m.–4:00 p.m. schedule, with Saturdays as needed.
• This position is based in Austin, TX, with work at job sites across the Austin area.
• Employment is contingent upon successfully passing a pre-employment background check.
